APM Performance Pathway and ACO Reporting

In the 2021 Final Rule, CMS announced the APM Performance Pathway (APP), which is a new quality reporting requirement for MSSP ACOs. The good news is the new QPP participation option reduces the number of measures from 10 to 3 and aligns the reporting process more closely with MIPS, which many providers and practices are familiar with.

ACOs with multiple EHRs or different workflows across member organizations will likely face challenges in their ability to aggregate data for their APM Performance Pathway (APP) reporting.
