What is MIPS?
MIPS stands for Merit-Based Incentive Payment System. It is Medicare’s new physician reimbursement program that began on January 1, 2017. It replaces PQRS and Meaningful Use. Mingle Health has launched MIPS Solutions help healthcare providers thrive with MIPS and value-based programs. Read our FAQ about MACRA, MIPS, and the Quality Payment Program.
How does MIPS measure quality?
Under the MIPS Quality Performance Category, practices and providers report on Quality measures. The measures are reported as a fraction. The denominator is the number of patients eligible for the measure. The numerator indicates how many patients have the quality action performed for the measure.
